Hamza Habib, PMP

Grant Management Specialist

A professional in the field of IT, Marketing and Project Management, Hamza Habib is a pioneer member of team OSPR. Hamza graduated as a Software Engineer from the University of the Punjab and pursued his Masters in Management and Marketing from Nottingham Trent University, UK. In addition, Hamza is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified and is leading and directing projects and project teams as per the international standards. He has been involved in the end to end implementation of SAP Grants Management Grantee Module at LUMS and is serving OSPR since 2010 in the capacity of Grant Management Specialist.

Muhammad Faisal

Assistant Manager

One of the pioneer OSPR members, Mr. Muhammad Faisal is serving LUMS since 2010. He holds MBA from Superior Group of Colleges and is providing valuable support in carrying out OSPR operations. His main responsibility is managing Internal and external communication and functioning as communication hub for the department assuring that requests for official information are handled promptly.

Sohaib Iftikhar

Deputy Manager-Grants

Sohaib is an ACCA Affiliate from SKANS school of Accountancy. Also he has done Certified Accounting Technician (CAT, a diploma in the field of Accounting) from SKANS. Sohaib is serving LUMS OSPR department since February 2014 as a Research Associate. His core responsibility is to Analyzing and initiation of projects related claims in SAP. Additionally, he assists in the audit of Financials related to projects governed by OSPR.

Bilal Yousaf

Assistant Manager – Financial Management & Reporting

Bilal Yousaf is an ACCA Affiliate from SKANS School of Accountancy. He has also completed his BSc Hons in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brooks UK. Bilal joined OSPR in March 2019. His core responsibilities include Preparation of financial reports for internal & external reporting, Overseeing and coordination relating to interim & terminal audits, allocation of grant budgets as per donor’s guidelines. His area of expertise include Financial Management, Budget & Planning and Treasury Management. Prior to joining LUMS, Bilal has worked as a Budget & Planning officer in PakArab Fertilizer ltd and as an Audit Associate in Horwath Hussain Chaudhry & Co Chartered Accountants.

Muhammad Najam Ul Ain

Senior Officer

Muhammad Najam Ul Ain is an ACCA Member and ACA (UK) finalist, has completed his ICAEW articles from BERGER Paints Pakistan Limited. After completion of his articles, he joined LUMS, OSPR team in September 2017 and here he is managing internal grants such as FIF, STG and OVH.

Aonia Masood

In-House Counsel

Aonia Masood joined us in 2017 as In-House Counsel at LUMS; she mainly manages contracts, intellectual Property, and technology related matters. She is also representing LUMS at Technology and Innovation Support Centers Network, Pakistan (World Intellectual Property Organization) as focal person. Prior to joining LUMS, she has worked with Zafar and Associates - LLP as an Associate Attorney and Nestle as Legal Researcher where she acquired valuable and relevant experience in legal field. She has also been working, as legal researcher, with Justice (R) Nasira Iqbal - a renowned legal personality and a philanthropist in Pakistan. During her service with her, she worked on several documents including Pakistan’s initial State reports on United Nations Treaties i.e., the ICCPR and UNCAT

Hafiz Muhammad Yahya

Officer

Yahya is an ACCA Affiliate, at present working at LUMS as an Officer at Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR). Apart from ACCA, he holds CAT certification (Certified Accounting Technician) as a relevant certification in the field of Accountancy. At OSPR, his core responsibility includes making Budget Utilization Reports, processing various project related claims and assistance in financial reporting. His area of expertise also includes, internal audit and various related aspects of accountancy. Before LUMS, he worked at EY (Ernst & Young) as an Internal Audit Trainee, where he contributed and excelled in discharge of his core responsibilities, also acquiring very relevant and valuable experience in Audit and Accountancy.

Muhammad Naeem

Research Assistant

Muhammad Naeem is an MBA in Finance. He is currently serving OSPR in the capacity of Research Assistant – Finance. In his role, he is assisting OSPR in the processing of project-related claims, external audit and financial reporting in compliance with LUMS’ and donor’s guidelines. His expertise lies in corporate accounting, and internal audit. Prior to joining LUMS, he was serving Maypole – Limelight as Internal Auditor.

Maryam Hussain

Research Assistant

Maryam holds an MS (M.Phil) in Clinical Psychology from Centre for Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab. At OSPR, she handles major chunks of content creation and management. Her prominent responsibilities include publishing monthly newsletters, monthly reports and annual magazine for OSPR. Furthermore, she handles tasks related to University Research Council (URC) meetings, and internal grants.  In hindsight, she has served in the capacity of a lecturer at University of Lahore (UoL) and Defence Degree College for Women (DDC/W).

Khawaja Muhammad Awais

Research Assistant

Awais is rendering his services to OSPR’s Finance team as a Research Assistant. His core roles include making budget utilization reports, processing project related claims and their reimbursement, financial reporting and reconciliation between Budget and Expense sheets. He is also assisting in internal audits for the projects like NICL. He graduated as MBA from University of Central Punjab (UCP) in 2014. He has previously worked with Bahria Town Private Limited and Azgard Nine.

Hafiz Talha Ateeq

Research Assistant

Talha is a CIMA finalist from The Millennium University College (TMUC). He has done CIMA advance diploma in Management Accounting, at present working at LUMS as Research Assistant in Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR). His core responsibility includes processing of project related claims including reimbursements, advance adjustments in SAP in compliance with LUMS’ and donor’s guidelines.
